Last Friday at 2pm, Snell featured Dr. Schulte (all the way from the Clarkson Science Center) who presented on "Lizard Tales: Understanding Evolution Using on Unconventional Organism."
His presentation lasted about an hour and covered his group's hypothesis on the evolution and organization of several reptile phylum.

This past weekend, the Clarkson Theatre Club performed The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, a dramatic comedy by Stephen Adly Guirgis, portraying the trial of Judas, the disciple who betrayed Jesus to the Romans.
A mix of biblical references, an intriguing plot, and various humorous and ironic lines, the play keeps its viewers on edge and unsure of what is coming next.

The Clarkson Golden Knights hosted the first game of a best-of-three playoff weekend on Friday, Feb. 26, against St. Lawrence University.
Competition was fierce throughout the first period as the Knights battled for dominance of the puck. Neither team was able to secure a significant advantage in the first period despite a power play opportunity for both teams.

After a loss in Saturday's game against the Saints, the Golden Knights were back in Cheel Arena for the conclusion of the three game playoff series. Clarkson started off strong, keeping St. Lawrence on the defensive for the first few minutes. Play was fierce as both teams fought for control of the puck.

The Clarkson University Hockey team twice overcame one-goal deficits to force overtime in its ECAC Hockey playoff series game at archrival St. Lawrence University. This was not enough to conquer the Saints however, who won 3-2 halfway into overtime at Appleton arena in Canton.

Playing in a do-or-die situation, the Golden Knights kept their season alive with a gutsy, hard-working effort, twice overcoming deficits to defeat their North Country foe. Clarkson, which stands at 9-23-4 overall, will battle the Saints (16-14-7) again on Sunday to settle this best of three series.

A few months after being deployed to Iraq in 2003, U.S. Army Infantryman Martinez was driving a Humvee when his left front tire hit a landmine. He suffered severe burns to more than 40 percent of his body as well as smoke inhalation. Martinez spent 34 months at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, undergoing 32 different surgeries, including skin grafts and cosmetic surgery.

This past Friday, February 19, the music of Elvis was brought back to life by the talents of Mr. Joe Angerosa in the downtown Snell Hall auditorium. Angerosa is described as "The best Elvis impersonator on this side of the Mississippi" and he is a 2nd place winner in a national competition held by a Myspace social group.

A crowd of more than 100 students came to Cheel Commons to participate in Trivia Night on Saturday night, January 30. The apartment RA staff planned and implemented this Residence Life sponsored event for the entire residential community. Riverside RA Zach Butcher emceed as 25 teams of four students each competed in four rounds of trivia for the top prizes of Wal-Mart gift cards worth $100, $60 and $40.

The tragedy that Haiti experienced is almost incomprehensible. The loss and destruction tells a horrifying story, but also one of hope. The hope to rebuild a country that was almost wiped off the map. The combined efforts of the many countries that are offering aid seems to be making a poverty ridden Haiti a thing of past.

If you are able to associate the name Eli with The Bible or at least know a bit about Christianity, congratulations, you have figured out half the plot of the movie The Book of Eli. In all honesty, the trailer of this film gave me no incentive to see the movie because of this simplistic appearance of the story's plot.

Fallout 3 review

Fallout 3 is a first person shooter game developed by Bethesda and released in December of 2008. The game follows the heroics or evils of a protagonist called "The Lone Wanderer", whom the player controls. More specifically it is a post-apocalyptic alternate universe United States of America set in 2277, 200 years after "The Great War" that left the world a nuclear wasteland devoid of any unifying governments.

On Saturday January 30, Clarkson battled their oldest rival, Cornell, at Lynah Rink in Ithaca. Though scoring first, they still fell to the Cornell Big Red, 5-3. Cornell answered the Clarkson unassisted goal by Adam Pawlick at 12:26 into the game, with a goal 16:07 into the first.

Three players finished in double figures for Hamilton College, as the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team fell to the Continentals 67-44 in Liberty League action Friday evening at Alumni Gymnasium.
The Golden Knights dropped to 3-13 overall and 0-6 in conference games, while Hamilton evened its Liberty League slate at 3-3 and improved to 10-6 overall.

Friday's game saw the return of sophomore defenseman Mark Borowiecki after sustaining a concussion two weeks ago against Colgate. Even with the return of our previously injured defensemen, Clarkson still fell hard to the Colgate Raiders.

The Clarkson University Women's Hockey Team returned to Cheel Arena after playing their last six games on the road. The Knights, whose last game at Cheel was on December 5, 2009, welcomed the Colgate University Raiders on Friday, January 29, 2010.
Sophomore Juana Baribeau led the Knights offensively, scoring two of the three goals and earning an assist on the third.

Authorities, friends and the family of a boy from The Colony in Texas who was found hanged at school this past Thursday afternoon are struggling with that question after his apparent suicide.

Caprica: SyFy doesn't abandon Battlestar

To start things off Caprica is a newly released series on Syfy, which is based on the popular Battlestar Galactica series, which was praised as being one of the best dramas on television. For those of you that followed Battlestar, Caprica, takes place on the planet of Caprica at what I think is around 40 or so years earlier than the pilot miniseries, Battlestar Galactica.
